Q: Are your services covered by my insurance plan?

A: We are not members of any HMO/PPO insurance plan. Many insurance policies provide out of network benefits that reimburse our services to varying degrees. The patient is free to file for these benefits if desired.

Q: What are your fees?

A: Dr. Lynch’s fee structure is $400 for an hour evaluation and $300 for 45-minute sessions.

Q: How soon can I make an initial appointment?

A: We can usually offer an appointment time within several business days of your call.

Q: What are your hours?

A: We have office hours every day including Saturdays. Early morning and late evening appointments are available.

Q: Where are you located?

A: 25 E. Washington  Suite 1700, Chicago, Illinois 60602. See map link.

Q: What is a concierge practice?

A: There are several types of concierge practices but all of them include direct payment by the patient to the physician for the services provided. There are many benefits of this arrangement. One is that the physician may spend more time with his/her patients. Another is that treatment decisions are made once again by the physician and patient, not by insurance companies or managed care organizations. Also the physician is free to focus his/her energy on direct patient care, the most rewarding part of the profession.

Q: What are your exclusive services?

A: We only schedule one patient per appointment time. We will schedule as much time as needed for any particular patient. This structure allows us to start and finish appointments as scheduled.

Q: Availability:

A: We return phone calls the same day as received, and are personally available for emergencies 24 hours a day. We strive to have flexible office hours to facilitate your ongoing treatment and to provide availability for urgent sessions as needed.

Q: Privacy and Confidentiality:

A: We offer a private waiting area and separate exit doors out of our consultation rooms. Soundproofing provides a quiet and private setting. No information from your treatment will be discusses with any third party unless we decide it is useful.

Q: Responsiveness:

A: We provide additional services such as emergency and weekend calls to pharmacies, timely report writing and prompt coordination of care.

Q: Why do you charge for missed sessions?

A: Since we schedule only one person per appointment time, that time slot is effectively sold once an appointment is made. Not paying for the reserved time results in a loss to us largely due to the limited amount of time in a day. The investment in keeping appointments is not only financial but also directly translates into achieving treatment goals.

Q: What can I expect during my first appointment?

A: We are interested in getting to know each patient individually so that we can understand their complaints and how these problems are currently affecting their lives. Once this process is accomplished, a treatment plan will be recommended.

Q: How long does treatment take?

A: The length of treatment is highly variable. It depends upon the nature of the presenting problems and the patient’s goals for treatment.
